We snagged one unfortunately in our net long ago, but it did not go to waste. I have to say she was delicious and hopefully once their numbers are stable enough to hunt again then more people can enjoy their flavor.
Hard to overstate this, but seeing Emmas eyes as Jim petted her made me rewind and rewatch it several times because almost all of the shark footage I’ve ever seen has show shark eyes as cold and unfeeling (or lidded, as they do just prior to biting) but seeing Emmas eyes look around the way they did in this video made me think of sharks in a completely different way; i.e. not as something just to be feared and avoided, but as potentially warm and loving creatures.
This is the most important video that dodo has done. People need to see that it’s not just dogs and cats that give love and affection. People need to stop believing the media hype and see these beautiful creatures for what they really are. Thank you dodo In the same way that most people don’t think of cows or chickens as being loving, despite there being an abundance of footage of them playing games and snuggling up to their human friends….
I just viewed this amazing story about Emma, the tiger shark. This story was so heartwarming. I couldn’t help but tear up. People need to realize that creatures DO feel and have emotions. I had no idea that it was possible to have an emotional connection with a shark. Thank you for this video and being a kind-hearted human
