That snake was giving all the body language you want from a snake. Long, slow tongue flicks, relaxed body, and slow movement. These animals deserve respect and if you give them that, you’ll be completely fine. What an amazing experience for those divers! We as a divers should treat animals in their environment with much more respect than what I saw on this video, please behave and just be an observer when you are diving. Don’t put the camera in his mouth and don’t stress them cutting their ways out… RESPECT PLEASE
They’ve documented a similar one on nat geo years ago but the anaconda there started to recoil and was getting ready to pounce so the divers retreated. In this one, I thought the snake was going to strike when it started recoiling. Turns out, it just got scared or bored and swam away.
Every time it cuts back to the anaconda trying to swim forward, it looks like the Anaconda is just trying to go about his day uninterrupted and then bumps into the camera crew and acts so annoyed that they are in his long ass way and has things to do in a short amount of time lol What beautiful coloring! I doubt the divers were in much danger, anacondas don’t go for large prey on a regular basis. They’re more likely to be eating fish or birds.
