That was very suspenseful. Kept on wondering if the older male was going to go after his son again when he constantly kept his eyes on him. Felt bad when the lionesses also roared to kick him out. Wonder what happened to the young son. When did he leave and hope he makes it (wicked hyenas). Liked it when one of the lionesses’ jumped at the old male as he was passing by them at the very beginning. Hard to watch the tough reality of the magnificent beautiful lions.
Whoa! Seems like you were very close to that interaction. I’ve heard you can feel the roar of a male Lion that goes through your chest. I wasn’t even close to that roar like you were and of all the documentaries I’ve seen, that was the loudest! So loud in fact it shook my speakers! When the dominant male says to his son, it’s time to go, GO! I’m sure, at first, the young male doesn’t understand why he was welcome & part of the pride 10 seconds before that, then out of nowhere, you’re not.Â
