Carol Burnett, the groundbreaking comedy legend, is celebrating a major milestone today: it’s her 90th birthday!
After decades of making us laugh, Burnett is still going strong and is celebrating her big day in style: NBC is going to air a special called Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter and Love tonight paying tribute to the iconic star.
Many of Hollywood’s biggest names attended the event to pay tribute to Burnett, singing her praises on the red carpet.
Among the attendees was Julie Andrews, the legendary Sound of Music star and close friend of Burnett’s: “She brings out in the best in me and I think I bring out the worst in her, I don’t know why,” Andrews joked on the red carpet, according to the Hollywood Reporter. “It’s the opposite of what you would imagine.”
HBO announced Friday that they’ll premiere Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds on January 7.
The cable network changed the air date for the Hollywood dynasty documentary following the tragic deaths of the mother-daughter duo on Tuesday and Wednesday.
