Will’s character is one of few male characters that I found as a perfect guy. He is smart but not nerdy, he enjoys sports as well as movies and books, he is a romantic but also good with jokes. And he is a mature, responsible man above all. The letter, I was crying a bucket and thinking for a guy as perfect as Will, is there even one exists in real life?
Every bit of this movie carried me away… And when in the end her father says “We don’t change people, we love them” …. I realized we all end up screwing our relations and emotions just because we want to change everyone and everything around instead of focusing on “‘just loving them’… … Not always a happy ending but this is reality… The real world doesn’t have happy ending. Always.
I loved this movie It was such a delight to watch, and I really wished they followed this up with the follow up novel “after you” and the one after that “still me.” Emilia is such a joy to watch here it’s a shame they didn’t continue with the series.
This movie is one of my favorites. I really like it because it’s based on a true story and the protagonists are able to show their love. The only thing that makes you surprised is the endingI suggest everyone read the book before seeing the movie… The author was remarkable with how she brought this story to life. It explains why Will is so attractive, for it contributes to the story line, and will help you appreciate the characters and just how incredible this story is even more. By far one of the most memorable books I have ever read.
Just watched it for the second time after the cinema. I felt peaceful at the end. Will suddenly being able to move was unrealistic. Will changing his mind after everything he went through and has to live through was not likely either. For me the ending was perfect, and peaceful…
I finished this book and then threw it across the room, told my daughter NOT to read it, which, of course she did, she threw it across the room too. The movie was pretty good too, Emilia Clark and Sam Claflin are outstanding!
I watched this movie for the first time around 6 months before I met my now boyfriend and I sobbed so hard watching it for the first time. When I’d been with my partner for 4 months I rewatched it and sobbed even harder than the first time. This movie hits so much harder when you have a partner!
