Taylor Swift was one of many notable celebrities to attend 2025’s Super Bowl LIX. Her recent Eras Tour has further cemented her status as a global superstar, and while she’s quite popular as a result, Taylor Swift didn’t receive very much positivity during the Super Bowl.
In fact, when Taylor Swift was shown on the Caesars Superdrome Jumbotron, audience members responded by booing Swift. The game had a rather divisive audience between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, and due to Swift’s relationship with the Chiefs’ tight tend Travis Kelce, the Eagles fans in the audience weren’t happy about seeing Swift.
As you can see in the below Super Bowl videos, however, Taylor Swift visibly faces the situation with a bit of humor. She responds to the boos from Eagles fans by giving a slight side eye and a smile. Various clips were taken of Swift’s appearance on the Jumbotron – where it appears she said “What’s going on?”
Some Swift fans, including Serena Williams, also used social media to share support for Swift against the boos. As Williams wrote in the below caption:
“I love you @taylorswift13 dont listen to those booo!!”
Williams received more than 285,000 likes on the post. So, while Swift might be involved with Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, she’s still just as popular as ever. It certainly added a nice bit of humor to the game and the ties that the Chiefs now have to the Eras Tour superstar. It’s also worth noting that Williams herself was involved with the Super Bowl, having made a cameo during Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show.
Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional news regarding Taylor Swift as we have them. While she wasn’t completely received positively at the stadium, Swift is obviously aware of the competitive nature of the Super Bowl and the spirit of the game. Unfortunately for her side, the Chiefs ended up losing the game.
