Admittedly spotting the great white shark in this photo is difficult, even when you are giving a hint about where it is.
Having great eyes is certainly something worth bragging about, but if you are quickly able to spot the danger in this one photo you might need to change professions because, damn.
A bird’s eye photo of a boat, some surfers and a great white shark has recently been posted on Reddit and has had users patting themselves on the back for spotting where the shark is.
This is a game that has long been played on social media and is so popular on Reddit there is a whole subreddit dedicated to it called ‘find the sniper.’
So, as you can guess, if you can spot it easily and quickly you just might have ‘sniper vision’ and your country might just need your brilliant eyes.
The post challenged users to find the great white shark and captioned the image: “Shark attacks are rising in Australia. Technology is helping stop them.’
The whereabouts of the shark aren’t exactly obvious, hence the challenge, and on top of that, the sea waves make it tricky for even those with the sharpest eyes to spot the shark.
Can you see it?

Can you find the shark? (justreddis/Reddit)
Some remarked that it wasn’t particularly difficult, sooo if you were struggling, (like I was) we can just assume they were lying about it being easy. Yup. Sounds good to me.
One Reddit user commented: “Found the Great White, took me a few seconds, had to look at the same spot a couple of times, just to make sure that’s what I was seeing, it was. This one was fun
Another said: “This was unnerving, the ocean is so beautifully frightening.
With a third saying: “Growing up in Florida and flying over ponce inlet regularly. I was able to spot this almost immediately.”
While a another person highlighted their own experiences dealing with sharks getting closer to surfers.
They said: “We have juveniles that cruise our coast. Bites are sporadic and usually during elephant seal pup season when the locals are mistaken because of the surfboard. aren’t fat enough to bother with.
“Gotta love the oceans apex predators. The other off our local shores are Biggs Orca, who are smart enough GG to know better.”

Just north of the boat you can see the dark outline of the shark(justreddis/Reddit)
Personally, I don’t see the harm in struggling to find the shark, I’ll just stay out of the ocean. But if you do feel like braving the seas, the shark is at the very top of the image, above the boat and slightly to the left.

I hate these kind of tests… but I can’t stay away from them, in all honesty – my deluded self thinks ‘what if you’re conscripted, you need to know if you’ll be a sharpshooter’.
God knows why I’m like this, but I know I’m not alone!

You certainly don’t want to find a stone in your coffee (Getty stock)
A brainteaser has gone viral on Reddit of a picture of an industrial-sized coffee grinder with thousands of beans inside it, as a stone has managed to sneak its way in – but where is it?
If you manage to find the tiny pebble within 10 seconds, then you’ve got ‘sniper vision’, as it is so well hidden it’s been hard to find for many.
The photo was shared in the subreddit ‘FindTheSniper’, which sees people post pictures of things ‘camouflaged hiding in plain sight’.
Responding to the ‘Find the pebble in this coffee’ post, one user wrote: “Oh hell no.”
Another replied to that comment: “I’m with you. I’m not gonna destroy my brain looking for that.”
While a third posted on the social media platform: “Some people just want to watch the world burn.”
But… it is actually there to be seen, I’d even say in ‘plain sight’, but you’d have to zoom it quite a bit to find it – as I did only after finding out the answer.
“Actually found it in less than 10 seconds! And I never find them, even the easier ones!”, one person typed.
A second stated: “Left side. Follow where the beans are on the pole down just a little bit. There is something white that looks like a tooth.”
While another added: “Found it, left side. i have the hyper focus of a God.”
If you liked that one, there are more sneaky snipers waiting for you to find them.
In fact, a photographer managed to capture a snap of a deadly sniper hidden from his target recently, but to the untrained eye, they are practically invisible.

The sniper’s gun is faced towards the camera (Simon Menner)
Photographer Simon Menner has managed to capture examples of this in his ‘Camouflage’ series, which focused on photographing a number of different environments with one thing in common: there were snipers hidden in every image.
So, the question is, can you actually make out the sniper in the photo?
In the description for his series, Menner wrote on his website: “Even though they are invisible due to their professionalism, there are hidden snipers in every of these images. They are aiming at the camera and therefore at the viewer.”

Can you spot him yet? (Simon Menner)
Menner was able to capture the photos with the help of the German, Lithuanian, and Latvian Armies, who supported his photography efforts by granting him ‘generous access to their snipers’.
Happy hunting!

A game people have long played online has left some people scratching their heads as they really can’t find the car in this woodland photo.
Being able to spot this car on your first attempt might mean you need to change your profession and join the armed services.
People on social media regularly play games where you must pinpoint something less than obvious in a picture – maybe it’s an item, an animal or a person but on this occasion, it is a car.
And boy is it a difficult spot. If you do manage to spot it, you just might have ‘sniper vision’; the ability to spot details in crowded environments.
The picture, that was shared on Reddit a few months ago, shows a woodland area and says there is a rusty car somewhere in the image.
Have a go yourself.

How quickly were you able to spot the rusty vehicle? (GloriaToo/Reddit)
Even with a bunch of hints, I bet you can’t find it after searching the image for a minute. That is essentially what people on Reddit were saying with many admitting they couldn’t see it despite the original poster revealing its location.
The image was posted in the FindTheSniper Reddit board by user GloriaToo who added that this challenge was ‘easy’.
I can only imagine what the difficult ones are like because I imagine it would take me hours to notice the obscure detail.

Maybe you can see it in this zoomed in picture (its just a bit of the centre)(GloriaToo/Reddit)
Admittedly, I thought it would be a pretty easy find, and then I quickly found I was stumped… basically just looking at some trees.
Can’t find it? No harm in needing a hint. The car is quite small, rusty and you might be able to see it better if you zoom in on the image.
Still no luck? Well, the car is located slightly to the right of the center of the image.
People on the post also shared their thoughts on the near-impossible find and the story behind the car.

FINALLY! (supercarblondie/UNILAD)
One user wrote: “Great photo! Looks like a fire swept through here a few years back. I bet the truck has at least a few bullet holes in it. Every one of these I’ve seen close was pretty well shot up.”
Another commented: “Dang. I wonder how it got there and if there’s a body in it. I might watch too much true crime.”
A third wrote: “That was a challenge, good photo!”
With another adding: “The trees are much bigger than I realized,”

Understanding why animals do things is a pretty integral part of researching them, but great white sharks have been doing something that has confused scientists for years.
Animals do all sorts of fascinating and amazing stuff; some things we understand perfectly, other things less so.
When it comes to great white sharks, we understand them fairly well, but one migration pattern seemed to stump scientists and researchers.
For reasons, seemingly unknown, multiple great white sharks would congregate in this specific spot in the Pacific Ocean.
I say spot, but it is actually quite a massive zone, with a radius of approximately 160 miles and is located about halfway between Baja California and Hawaii.

Interestingly, scientists have taken to calling this area the White Shark Café.
It received this name way back in 2002 after Stanford University’s Hopkins Marine Station researchers studied the data from multiple sharks they had tagged.
Publishing their findings the January 3, 2002 issue of the journal Nature, they found that three of four tagged sharks traveled to the Café during a six-month period after getting tagging in California.
This was particularly puzzling, as the area was thought to be a lifeless zone, a sort of oceanic desert for sharks.
However, this idea shifted in 2018 as it was discovered this location was actually teeming with life and had a thriving ecosystem.
This discovery helped bolster the idea that sharks would regularly frequent this location to enjoy a diverse platter of food however there are still arguments that sharks also come here as part of a mating ritual.

News of the shark cafe has spread to social media and Reddit users had their own theories and jokes about what draws sharks to the location.
One user wrote: “These sharks are probably attracted to the unusually high frequency hum being emitted by the crashed UFO on the seabed at this location.
“Reddit has taught me over the years that there’s usually a simple, alien related, explanation.
Another user joked: “Orcas: so, umm, I forget, where is this again?”
With another adding: “Annual shark orgy, nothing to worry about.”
And another commented: “So they’re just all out there chilling together and s***? Like are sharks pals when they see each other, or do they fight?”
Well, regardless of why they congregate there, I imagine the shark cafe is probably a great place for a bite.

Tesla owners are appearing to be targeted by random people after Elon Musk’s latest string of controversies.
The Tesla CEO has sparked global outrage, particularly in Europe, after twice making a gesture which was likened to a ‘Nazi salute’ at Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20.
Elon Musk has also been vocal in his support for extreme right-wing political party Alternative for Germany (AfD).
Last weekend, the world’s richest men virtually attended an election rally for the party and gave a speech which resulted in a Polish minister calling for a Tesla boycott.
Musk claimed the country ‘focuses too much on past guilt’ which is something that needs to be ‘moved past’ – a sentiment echoed by AfD members in a so-called attempt to ‘bury’ the country’s Nazi past.
Musk also faced criticism from car-maker rivals after claiming AfD is the country’s ‘only savior.’ Musk, who was born and raised in South Africa, currently resides in the US.

And it seems Tesla owners have been taking some of the heat aimed at Musk in recent weeks, with people shocked to find notes and drawings left on their vehicles.
Taking to X, the social media platform Musk bought in 2023, one person posted a photo showing the phrase ‘Nazi’ etched into the side of a Cybertruck.
“Own a Tesla? Might want to reconsider,” the X user posted. “Someone graffitied this on a Cybertruck, after Musk did the Nazi salute.”
Over on a Cybertruck Owners Facebook forum, one man shared a photo of what appeared to be the word ‘Nazi’ written on the inside of a ramen lid and slotted into his door frame.
“Got my first one today…” the owner wrote.
Elsewhere on the forum, other people shared their own similar experiences.
A second person shared a photo of curse words and phallic-shaped objects drawn in the dirt of their truck, as they vented: “The hate is real… smh.
“This is what I came out to, I was just at a casino, having a good time lol.”

“An older man drew a swastika in the dirt on mine then spit on it. I just don’t get the hate,” another said, while another shared how he ‘always gets flipped off’ when driving his Cybertruck.
Meanwhile, after Musk came under fire for his gesture at Trump’s inauguration, others took to Reddit to vent how they felt ‘stuck’ with their Teslas and vowed never to purchase another one.
